It’s in the Details

Not only are we asked to create a client’s dream home, we are often asked to design imaginative, decorative elements to create a truly customized atmosphere.

One of our current clients is building a home set in a heavily wooded area with many of the unique interior details reflecting the forested site.  Our principal, Scott Hommas, has designed a glass wall dividing the entry rotunda from the office as an interpretation of red maple leaves against a blue sky.  The leaf pattern was cut into five steel panels, which are now being exposed to the elements to gain a natural rust color.  After a few months of the oxidation process, the metal panels will be set against tinted blue glass and framed by logs—a true woodland scene!
